I have always had a love of the great outdoors having spent my childhood in the Peak District, with family time usually spent exploring the area by foot or bicycle. I now encourage my own children to enjoy the fresh air and freedom of the countryside. It is due to this interest that I decided to train to become a Nordic Walking instructor (NWUK), so I can introduce others to the enjoyment of exercising outdoors and the enhanced health and fitness benefits of Nordic Walking.
Feeling passionately about the benefits of increased physical activities on many of today's health issues, I left my career as a Registered General Nurse and commenced on my new career path.
My qualifications include:
- Nordic Walking UK Instructor
- Foundation Degree in Sports Science
- Advanced Fitness Instructor
- Personal Trainer
- Pilates Instructor
- St John's Ambulance Activity First Aid
I am fully insured and a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals at Level 3
My aim is to make exercise enjoyable, accessible and effective, so others can experience the benefits and joy for themselves.
